These saddlebag lower rail support brackets are recommended when installing a 3.5" Drop Seat on FLHR Road King, FLHRC Road King Classic, FLHT Electra Glide Standard, FLHTC Electra Glide Classic & FLHTCU Electra Glide Ulta Clasic models.

Note: If you have a 2010 thru 2012 CVO STREET GLIDE FLHX or CVO ROAD GLIDE ULTRA FLTR motorcycle, the Drop Seat Kit should not be installed as it will cause the rear tire to rub on the battery box which could lead to serious injury or death. These models are equipped with an 18”, high profile rear tire. We do not recommend doing so but possibly using a low-profile 18” rear tire such as Metzler or another brand rear tire may afford enough clearance to allow for installation of the Drop Seat Kit on these models. IMPORTANT: You should check the tire manufactures specifications and your Harley Davidson service department recommendations before ordering and installing a low profile tire on these models.
If you have a 2010 thru 2012 CVO STREET GLIDE FLHX or CVO ROAD GLIDE ULTRA FLTR equipped with adjustable rear shocks it will be necessary to replace them with Harley Davidson air shocks part #54565-09. This air shock has to be used to replace the FL CVO adjustable non-air shock when installing a drop seat kit, before installing the Drop Seat Kit.
We highly recommends that the Drop Seat Kit be installed by a qualified Harley-Davidson technician. Note: If there has been any changes from the O.E.M. stock rear wheel , tire or shocks it is the responsibility of the installer to check all clearances when installing the Drop Seat Kit (DSK).
