While below is a comprehensiveoutline of the benefits of each compound, we are also providing this quick, general guide for picking the right pad:ST – for OEM replacement where performance and pad life are the priority.P – for OEM replacement where cooler running temperatures and gentler rotor wear than stock are desired.PRP – for polished rotors and show bikes where aesthetics take priority over performance. Please read below for full descriptions. FERODO Polished RotorPads’ ‘PRP’Compound -Why?There is great demandamongst riders for afriction material thatworks with polished orShow rotors. This productwas designed forthat very application.The PRP brake pad isdesigned to minimizematerial deposits “smudging” and the “scoring”of rotors due to aggressive abrasives normallyused. The unique PRP pad achieves all of thiswhilst still providing stopping power oftenexceeding OE specifications.HOW ?For a brake pad to work efficiently it has to be“bedded” which is a transfer of friction materialonto the rotor face, this is in most cases where thedamage occurs on polished or show style rotors.The PRP material was designed for minimal“bedding“ in and therefor reduces the unsightlydeposits on the rotor face.
