The power of an Evolution® Big Twin engine canbe very dramatic when a good performance camis installed. Stock hydraulic lifters are capable of6000+ RPM with stock springs and no valvefloat. Crane’s cam grinds have adjustable camgears which permit you to advance or retardtiming by 4°, permitting adjustment of thepower-band for more torque down low or morehorsepower on the top end. This hydraulic cam provides bolt-in performancewith a noticeable increase throughout the RPMrange. An excellent cam for speed or touring.Larger performance increases can be achievedwith high-performance carb and exhaustchanges. Note: Late 1984-early 1986 Evolution® engines require theirpistons to be notched to obtain the necessary valve-to-pistonclearance.
