Custom One-Piece Stretched Tanks- Tanks for FXR Models

No longer is trick paint enough to define a hot custom. But add a custom tank and the crowds will pause longer to look at a tricked out bike. Custom Chrome� offers enough options to satisfy just about any desire. Our 2 inch stretch tanks are new stampings rather than using welded tips to achieve stretch. They come with or without dash recess, single or dual gas caps, and with flush-mount locking gas caps (included), or for stock-style screw-in gas caps (not included). Single cap tanks have inlet offset to the right side. Tanks with dash recess use FL-style dashes and dash mounting plates. For the extreme custom Softail� models, the 4 Inch stretch tanks have welded wings on the 2 Inch stretch tanks for the ultimate long, low look. Bike builders should note that these tanks, while simply bolting on stock tank mounts on the frame, will require minor finishing (especially with welded tip extensions), and probably a custom seat to fit the rear contours of the extended tank. But the effort is well worth it when the first admirer walks up and asks "how'd you do that?" Tanks fit all models from 1982 thru 2000 and have a 4.0 gallon capacity.
